ParkMaster, from Cobra, is an innovative new reverse parking aid which helps to protect new or used vehicles, as well as helping to prevent injury to pedestrians and playing children.
It is often impossible to judge how much room is available when reversing into a parking space, especially in vehicles with restricted rear vision. ParkMaster automatically creates an invisible detection zone immediately reverse gear is selected. As the vehicle is reversed towards an obstacle, ParkMaster's audio signal emits an audible warning which increases in frequency until the tone becomes continuous at 30cm.
An increasing number of new vehicles are being fitted with reverse parking aids. Now, car owners can purchase a quality product which will protect their investment at relatively low cost.

The system works by emitting ultrasonic waves from the sensor heads covering a large area behind the vehicle. The beams are reflected by obstructions behind the vehicle, and re-enter the sensors. The reflected beam information is processed to calculate the distance from the car to the obstacle behind. The parking sensor system is activated when reverse gear is engaged and stays active for as long as the vehicle is in reverse gear. When the vehicle is less than 1.5 metres from an obstacle behind the car the audible alert will emit intermittent beeps. As the vehicle gets closer to any obstacle behind the vehicle the frequency of the beeps increases. At 40 centimetres from any obstacle behind the vehicle the beeps become a continuous solid tone.

Maintaining your parking sensorsLooking after your parking sensors couldnt be easier. You dont have to do a thing only ensure that they are kept free of dirt, snow and mud. Other than that the sensors require no routene maintenance and will not give you any problems. As long as dirt is not permitted to build up on the sensors they will work accurately every time.
